Tall Ships Memorabilia (“we,” “us”) runs tallships.net, a small family business in Massachusetts selling tall ship photography by John Reardon. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to fill your order and, if you ask, to email you.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number (optional), and what you bought.
- Payment details: card and other payment information is entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you join our email list: your email address, and your name if you give it.
- When you browse: basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Our site uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember your login, and protect the site from abuse.
- When you contact us: whatever you choose to include in your message.
How we use it
- To process, print, ship, and support your order, including order and shipping emails.
- To send our newsletter and offers, only if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraud, and understand which pages are useful.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for other companies’ advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with the services that help us run the store, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe: payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Print and framing partners: your name and shipping address, so they can make and ship your order.
- Shipping carriers (such as USPS or UPS): delivery details.
- Our email service: to send newsletters to subscribers.
- Hosting and security providers (DigitalOcean, Cloudflare, Google Workspace): to host the site, protect it, and handle email.
- Authorities: when required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep order records as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes, generally up to seven years. Email list information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
- Access, correct, or delete your information by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep certain order records where the law requires.
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser, though the cart and checkout need them to work.
- Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have additional rights under local law. Contact us and we will honor them.
Children
Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
